USCIS (the immigration service) will continue to accept the filing of both initial and renewal DACA requests. However, because of a recent federal court order, USCIS is prohibited from granting initial DACA requests. Also consistent with that order, USCIS will continue to grant or deny renewal DACA requests, according to existing policy. This means that if you are a first time applicant, you can still file your application, but USCIS will not be allowed to approve it and will just hold your application for the time being.
BakerRipley provides representation in the event you need to replace your Naturalization Certificate. We encourage you to sign up for a phone consultation to discuss your case with our citizenship experts.

BakerRipley serves families who are among the most vulnerable in our community. Through the Immigration & Citizenship program, we continue to support newly arriving families and the immigrant community by guiding them through immigration proceedings—at no cost to them.
Many of these families arrive in Houston with little to no access to basic necessities. As an agency, we are committed to ensuring all families live with dignity and humanity. Our holistic approach provides support through our legal and social services teams.
To further assist families as they settle in Houston, the Immigration & Citizenship program is launching an ongoing donation drive. Every contribution is welcome and deeply appreciated. The items listed below will be especially helpful to our clients.

Social Services
The Immigration Program’s social service team specializes in connecting resources to immigrant communities in the Houston region. We acknowledge barriers that exist to prevent access to services depending on an individual or family’s immigration status.
Our mission is to create a bridge of access regardless of immigration status. Our team can provide assessments and referrals based on client needs, including other BakerRipley programs and services offered by partner agencies. If you are interested in learning more about social service programs and eligibility requirements, please let your legal representative know at the time of your scheduled consultation.
