High School Equivalency Classes

Earn your High School Equivalency certificate.

BakerRipley’s High School Equivalency (HSE) program provides educational assistance to Neighbors without a high school diploma. Classes are open to everyone, free of charge. HSE classes cover a range of subjects, including reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies, to help prepare individuals to pass the HSE test and achieve their educational goals.

Schedule

Find a class that works for you!

Our classes run for 8-10 weeks and meet online, in-person, or with a hybrid style. Class offerings vary by location and level, but we will do our best to find the right fit for everyone. Classes will be organized around the following schedules:

  • Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Monday and Wednesday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Frequently Asked Questions

Individuals 17 years or older who have no obtained a high school diploma from a school in the U.S. are eligible for our program. 16-year-olds are only eligible for services with a court order.

We customize our instruction to students’ reading levels and cover all subject areas that will be covered on the HSE exam.

Our class offerings are:

  • Online

Students are encouraged to attend classes and prepare for and earn their HSE at their own pace. Some students earn their HSE as quickly as a few months and for others it takes them a few years.
